ID Summit Bermuda: Island’s firms face 30% of international Japan loss
BERMUDA’S insurers and reinsurers are in the chair for almost 30% of reported liabilities from the internationally reinsured share of this year’s Japanese quake, and subsequent tsunami, but the president of the market’s industry association has predicted that it is more than capable of fulfilling its US hurricane season obligations, reinforcing the vital role the island has to play in the global risk landscape.
