White Mountains slips to nine-month loss
BERMUDA-domiciled re/insurer White Mountains Insurance Group swung to a net loss of $32.3m for the first nine months of the year, from year-earlier income of $13.6m, reflecting a 19% decline in earned premiums to $1.44bn, a 12% drop in investment income to $138.1m and a 25% decrease in realized and unrealized investment gains to $78.3m.
