Chicago Title insurers hit in court
A CALIFORNIA county court jury has ordered the Chicago Title Insurance and Chicago Title units of Fidelity National Financial to pay $5.7m in punitive damages and a share of $1.11m in compensatory damages that the panel awarded to three investors who claimed to have lost their investments in a sham transaction for a San Diego condominium project.
