Tourist islands to feel wrath of Earl’s winds
NORTH CAROLINA’S Outer Banks was set to become the first US land area to feel the force of hurricane-strength winds this year as Insurance Day went to press, with the outer bands of Earl’s windspan passing over the 100-mile stretch of tourist islands.
