US p/c sees H1 income jump
The US property/casualty sector saw net income for the first half of the year more than double to $16.53bn from $5.96bn, largely reflecting a swing to $2.23bn in realised capital gains from year-earlier losses of $11.12bn, according to figures released by ISO and the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America (PCI).
