THE US Supreme Court late Tuesday refused a request by Louisiana Citizens Property Insurance Corp to block a Louisiana court’s $92.8m judgement against the state’s last-resort property insurer for failure to handle in a timely fashion claims from 18,500 customers for damages incurred during hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005.
