US reinsurance reform trundles on
The US House of Representatives earlier this month approved the Non-Admitted & Reinsurance Reform Act of 2009, a measure that seeks to simplify the tax remittance and compliance responsibilities of reinsurers and surplus lines brokers and to reduce the cost of compliance in placements with exposures in multiple states.
